‘Nuff said. And this is why we all love Jim Carrey. The black socks are a stroke of genius.

Jason Reitman

Jim Carrey will star in Jason Reitman’s new politically incorrect comedy about a Frenchman who moves a stolen painting from Paris to London . I love Reitman’s sense of humor (“Juno”) and Jim Carrey is an inspired choice here.

Jim Carrey did his own bungee stunt for his film “Yes Man”. He jumped off the Colorado Street Bridge in Pasadena. After safely landing he was applauded. Yup, I would applaud too.

I stumbled across this today. I figure, since the writer’s strike is ongoing, we might as well “re-enjoy” some of the funnier stuff from last year. This clip is from last October.

Now I really like both of these guys and while I’ll readily admit that Jim Carrey is very good in drama I prefer him in comedy. This film has been described as a black comedy but I’m just wondering how much of this film will be ”black” and how much will be “comedy”. Either way, it sounds like a good film and I’ll be seeing it.
I’ve been seeing a lot of posts about celebrities in their Halloween costumes for this year and while many were the typical “I’m so sexy” costumes, I thought I would post a few that were actually quite good.

Adrienne Curry as Alex from “A Clockwork Orange”. While she is sexy this costume was truly original and she even had the nerve to wear the codpiece. Loved it!

Liv Tyler with Royston and Milo. She looks so cute as an American Indian.

Heidi Klum always enjoys this time of year and while this costume might have been “I’m so sexy”, she managed to creep it out enough with the fangs and contact lenses.
Kyle McLaughlin looked funny and grotesque with his golfing accident costume. He was also sporting a golf club and the full modern golfing outfit.

Jim Carrey (I don’t know if this was this year’s costume or another year, but loved it anyway).

Neil Patrick Harris is my “hands down” winner this year. I haven’t seen a creepier clown since Pennywise. This was brilliant!

Marilyn Manson gets an honorable mention. He would have won if this were a costume, but this is generally the way he looks.
You have to love and respect true celebrity photographers. They actually make appointments with celebs and plan photo shoots and use real cameras. I have a few favorites and you will probably find some of these shots familiar. If you haven’t before, you can now put a photographer’s name to the extraordinary shots you’ve seen and loved. Take the time to look some of them up and you will be amazed at some of the lovely photographs they have taken of your favorite celebrities. Martin Schoeller takes some of the grittiest photos out there and I really applaud the celebrities brave enough to go before his lens. You may recognize his style from work he’s done with Rolling Stone magazine. And how ironic that I couldn’t find one photo of Martin.

Aside from stories about his love life, I haven’t heard much about what my beloved Jim Carrey has been doing these days. I won’t even go into “where you’ve seen him before” because everyone knows where they’ve seen Jim. So I’m focusing on where we might be lucky enough to see him next. And yea, though it’s true that my first love for Mr. Carrey is comedy, I find that he is just fantastic in dramatic roles as well. I’m sure you all agree with me.
And to all of those people out there who constantly criticize him for his new look; I love his look. I think he looks amazing with his hair a bit longer and with his style a bit more goth (just a bit) than he’s sported in the past.
I don’t usually comment on celeb love-lives, but I think Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy are great together. I know that Jenny has been doing a lot of work for autism including a book called, “Louder Than Words”. Jim does work for Comic Relief, has donated time and hefty sums of money to 9/11 victims, and supports several charities including Luke Neuhedel Foundation http://www.lukefund.org/ and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital http://www.stjude.org/, among others. These are two very generous people who are making it their business to help other people. For that alone, they deserve all of the success and happiness in the world.
