She’s on the cover of April 2009 Cosmo, has a new film on the way (They Came from Upstairs), and has a new album on the way (“Guilty Pleasure”).  Now these accomplishments are great, but what I really like about Ashley is the fact that she is such a positive role model.  She’s kind, talented, pretty, fashion savvy, and most importantly, has kept her nose clean.  Little girls all over the world can look up to this young woman and parents can breathe a sigh of relief as they do so.

I read this on MTV’s site today:  “High School Musical” star Ashley Tisdale is slated to make her feature-film debut in a comedy about a group of teens who defend their vacation home from an alien attack. The Hollywood Reporter reports that production on “They Came From Upstairs” will start next month in New Zealand, with a cast that also includes Robert Hoffman (“Step Up 2 the Streets”), Carter Jenkins (“Viva Laughlin”) and Austin Butler (“Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide”). …

She sounds perfect for the part.

So I’ve been reading rumors that Ashley Tisdale lip-synched her way through the tree lighting performance at Rockefeller Plaza last night.  As proof, several sites offered up a youtube clip.  I watched the clip and couldn’t help that notice that Nick Lachey’s introduction of Ashley was also out of synch.  This looks suspiciously like a poorly synched clip in general.  I don’t know if Ashley did or did not lip-synch her performance (I wasn’t there), however if we’re basing our opinion on that youtube clip then you have to say Nick Lachey was lip-synching the intro.  Somehow, I doubt that.

I just love the way Ashley Tisdale puts together an outfit.  I saw this today and just thought that she manages to look so good without the slut factor you see in so many her age.  Those shoes are amazing and I’m not really into fashion.  I bet she becomes a style icon down the road.

I’m not the biggest fan of pop music (one can’t help but see Ashley Tisdale’s videos everywhere) but I have to admit that Ashley is a very talented pop singer and her songs are very addictive.  Have a look at “He Said, She Said” and tell me you don’t (if even begrudgingly) agree.  While I knew who she is from my horrific jaunt into Disney Channel’s world (specifically from HSM and HSM2 and “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody) I hadn’t realized what an accomplished pop star she is becoming until VH1 started airing her videos.  They have an aura of fun about them with an ever so miniscule amount of sexiness.  I think that suits tween parents and allows tweens to see how it’s done without being vulgar in any way.
